Are you looking for a chill café? A place to study? An easy joint to grab a beer?
OR are you too cool and just want to check out live bands?
It doesn’t matter because believe it or not, there’s a spot where you can do all that: Le Cagibi.
Le Cagibi is a cute, hip location with loads to offer; you MUST check it out.
Their array of amazing vegetarian options are seriously to die for (but not literally, because it’s vegetarian). Whether it’s for salad, a burrito, or an (amazing) taco, they got you covered for lunch. AND breakfast. Yes, their breakfast menu is certainly a godsend with something for just about everybody; their tofu scramble is truly something. Deserts you ask? Don’t even get me started (holy shit they’re amazing.)
Americano? Latte? Smoothie? MARGARITA? Their cocktail list is even more impressive than their hot beverages’ one. And don’t forget, if you’ve had one too many, their night menu will bring you back to life thanks to one of their glorious tacos or sandwiches.
During the day you are likely to find a great deal of
MacBooks students. But whether people come to study or hangout, there is a wide mishmash of tables for groups or solo acts. Once it gets closer to the evening though, people are mostly there to hangout, have coffee dates, or just to be part of the chill, cool demographic that sticks around as the night drags on.
Saved the best for last: Le Cagibi is, on top of everything else, a really sweet music venue! You might not notice it during the day, but there is an entire back room with a stage and I’ve heard there one of the best soundman in Montreal, Pamela. The wide variety of bands playing on weekends are featured on a board during the week, so don’t forget to take a peek while you sip your cappuccino (or bloody mary).
This place has the perfect atmosphere and definitely has its crowd of regulars. The miss-matched chairs and tables have a character of their own and only add to the charm of this cute café! But keep on coming if you want to meet some people and check out local music!
Le Cagibi; breakfast / lunch / dinner / drinks / music / friends. Might as well bring your toothbrush ’cause you aren’t gonna want to leave!
Check it out, Montreal!
