It looks like the quaint little town of Baie St. Paul will be hosting a crazy, 4 day party yet again this year. The good folks at Le Festif! unveiled the festival lineup and true to form, it features a mixture of genre, of established and up and coming bands, and artists coming from all over the world.
Headliners include Caravan Palace, Australian surf roots musician Xavier Rudd, and Valaire, now without the Misteur, who will bring the outdoor party at Place Desjardins. Scratching the ol’ nostalgic cord, Daniel Bélanger, Richard Séguin and Bran Van 3000 will also play the festival, amongst newcomers including Renard Blanc, Le Couleur, Paupière, and Le Cabaret du Festif! winners Miss Sassoeur & les Sassys and Émile Gruff.
Two of our favourite festival venues are shaping up to be Memorable this year again. Alacair Ensemble, Loco Locass and Rednext Level will heat up the good old Chapiteau and le quai will be graced by Louis-Jean Cormier, Philippe B and Timber Timbre.
Other artists include Xavier Caféine, Les Dales Hawerchuk, Voïvod, Chocolat, Groovy Aardvark, with Karim Ouellet, Martha Wainwright, Lisa Leblanc and Leif Vollebekk. Of course, you can always expect Le Festif! to save a few surprise performances and this year, they are promising more than ever. Other than that, a few other elements will be addded this year, including three additional concert spaces, a festival app and a zone to chill out and relax (you’ll need it), more parking spaces and yes, they’ve revisited their ticket buying process to simplify it for you.
