This week, we’ve decided to challenge ourselves by making another music and fashion match: this time, Heavy Montreal is on the rocks!
We want to help you choose the right outfit for the most badass rock and metal music festival in the city. Here are some tips to guide you into channeling your rocker style game. Just like we did for Osheaga 2015, we are proposing you shows that we think would fit with your kind of look.
If you’re one of those happy dancers that are joyfully skanking all over the place, you should totally wear some classic black high top converse, which are the most comfortable shoes to dance and jump all day long. It’s time to show off your Levi’s sleeveless denim jacket covered with patches over your plaid shirts and some boyfriend cut-off shorts
This year, Heavy Mtl has spoiled us with some of the best punk/rock/grunge artists!
For all the sensitive people who like heavy metal music with a touch of romanticism and softness, button up your patterned short sleeve shirt (i’m thinking Overthinking clothing, a brand made here in Montreal) or put on your roll up sleeves t-shirt with a beanie or a cute hat. Don’t forget your skinny jeans with some checkboard slip-on Vans shoes and a pair of high black socks.
Those artists should fit with your mood!
If you’re the kind of person who goes first in the middle of a mosh pit, then you must be wearing some black Doc Martens ( ’cause their cool, but also to protect your toes from the raging trash crowd) with a pair of black riped jeans. You’re not scared of getting all dirty and you proudly wear your overworned Lamb of god 2006 Gigantour t-shirt with a black leather jacket.
Look out for those bands and please be carefull in the wall of death!
Hope we’ve completed the challenge! Enjoy the festival, y’all!!
